Actually the design the scientist where leaning to wasn't bad "desert brush" was good but as always some jack ass Brigadeer General saw Marines in their MARPAT and they just had to have new Cammies. So they ordered Natick to put the desert Brush colors into the Marine Pixile pattern. Mind you the pixel pattern of MARPAT was developed for the MARPAT colors not as an
