Before I start telling you how to do this I will first say don't be scared to paint and read the whole how-to before you start. If you don't like the results you can always just paint it black again.
Ok, here we go...
1: Prep the marker by cleaning it properly and removing the internals.
2: Hang your gun in a well ventilated area.
3: Take your parts that get a lot of contact and place them on some news paper and paint them with the color that you want to see the most of in the end. For me these things were silencer, magazine, side rails, and charging handles. On an AB or Salvo the things I would do like this are the pistol grips, magazine, and anything that may be attached to the rails.
4: Take one of the colors that you want the stripes to be and hold the spray can at about two feet from the gun and coat it in the color. My first color was OD Green but I didn't get any pics of it.
5: Now is where your going to create the stripes out of blue painters tape. Rip one side of the tapes straight edge off making it more natural*.
Now rip off the other side creating your stripe.
Make some different with holes or ending it two parts on one end.
6: After waiting for the last coat of paint start applying the tape stripes to the body of the marker.
When you place the stripes place them like /////// rather than //-/[[-//.*
For this coat of paint I decided that the green was to light so I stood about four feet with the black paint and unevenly dusted the marker.
And remember the top an bottom of the gun.
Also bridge gaps like the holes on shrouds. I went across the spot that my cyclone goes through the shell.
If you think a stripe is two long rip it into two and separate them slightly.
Don't forget parts!
Keep lines flush with marker parts*(I love weaving stripes through rails).
7: Repeat step 4 with another color.
8: Repeat steps 4, 5, 6 ,and 7 until you have a desired amount of colors*.
9: Wait for the last coat of pain to dry and cover it in a matte* sealer to make it last longer.
10: Results
