Subject: alpha black barrel question Fri Mar 01, 2013 8:29 pm
i got a project salvo shroud for my alpha black. it also has what i call a tapered barrel (1 inch diameter end 7/8 inch diameter middle and 1 inch end diameter) which was an upgrade so it wobbles in the shroud. okay now to the question i found an adapter so the barrel wont wobble but i don't know if it will fit over the 1 inch part of the barrel. if it doesn't fit what can i do to modify the adapter to make it fit or to keep the barrel from wobbling in the shroud.

save your money for paint and entry fee
use some black electrical tape around the barrel where the two contacts of the barrel meet the shroud bulk it up more on the back end
total coast $2 for a roll of tape and a smile

Arson you beat me to the repair answer! Well at least I can vouch that it actually works great, I've used electrical tape to put an apex2 on a non-apex barrel, and also to do this. Simple things can work wonders :).
And welcome to the forum! You should make yourself an introduction in this topic. :).

It does work well. Alot of us have used this method & the trick is to build up the tape slowly until it just fits snugly. Anyways good luck & tell us how it goes.
