Who has a magpul CTR stock?

I bought one of these BA stocks a lil while
ago for my phenom and it wont extend out at all
have had several people try but it just wont budge
Im a doing something wrong or is there something that i dont know about
like removing a screw?

I thought that lil tab you hold down and it should extend right?

I have the same stock on my AB and it extends out, I dont see anything on mine that would make it lock like what your saying.

damn stuck with a defunct stock lol
well its not so bad as i like it short like that so i guess i can deal with that

when you press the lever down does it move a pin? The pin may be stuck and might need some work to free it,

mine works like a charm...just out of curiosity ...did it come with the buffer tube??

sorry dont see anything

and i pull that lever down and then pull and it jsut dosnt budge

we were playing around with it and the pin dropped out which sucked
so had to try some ideas to get it back in but its stuck and not moving at all

and yes it came with the tube attached already

if thats the case then the fix is easy...

just pull down on this pin (shown with screwdriver) to where it cant go down no further and pull the stock like you are extending it :)

just seems this tube is thicker then what it was meant for and they jammed it in or something
My self and 15 other people couldnt do it

maybe some KY or baby oil ? LOL

I had the same issue with a stock I ordered for my Phenom. It was MilSpec and the tube was Commercial Spec, so it fit, but wouldn't move. Used some silicone spray to get it to come off, and then lightly sanded the buffer tube till it fit right. Took some time, but it worked just fine.

I didn't know there were different types of buffer tubes personally. Can't help you but I wanna see how it turns out.

I want one of these stocks.

Can't you dismantle as much of the stock as possible?
And then try free-ing it up?
That would irritate the hell out of me.

Still....It does look good where it is too.. 8)

I dont you can dismantle it other than removing the lever...which might help some..

I have tried alot of things even tried to pry it off lol
its almost like they made the tube and the stock at the same time
but the tube was just abit thicker so it cant move
I dont have an extra phenom end cap or else i would just destroy that tube and get it out of there lol

Sounds like you have done alot to free it up, but here is one more suggestion. take it off your marker, on the back of the stock is 2 screws holding the butt plate on, remove them and the plate should pop right off, it has 2 prongs to help hold it on , maybe they are holding the tube, but if it is still stuck then you can see the back end of it and pop it out with something.

whered you get it from? in NY and Cali ar stocks cant be adjustable and must be physically pinned stable...
