Hi all,
I don't have a cyclone feeder, and if i understand correctly, the cyclone is a pre-requisite for a tac cap setup. I like the idea of tac caps because:
1. smaller profile, as a target
2. smaller profile, for looks
3. limited ammo feels more realistic and will make me play differently (for better or for worse)
4. limited ammo is lighter, quieter, etc
I don't particularly want to buy a cyclone yet (and frankly I don't know much about them yet either), so I'm trying to run off Syclops' original Ghetto build (reposted by David
here), but using a cheap gravity hopper to mate a paint pod onto the marker. See images
It mightn't be obvious because the red cut line obscured the hopper a bit, but I'm trying to exploit the curved bottom of the hopper to assist feeding the balls in to the feed-neck as normal, and the pod creates a 30-50 round game 'clip'.
Has any body tried this, seen this, or otherwise have any advice regarding this mod?
Also, what's your opinion/advice on the fitment - if I can't make an almost seamless joint, would it be better if the slightly smaller hopper-piece fits inside the pod-piece tube, or if the pod-piece tube butts up against the slightly larger hopper-piece?
