Well I've been working at the BBC a bit more to get those pennies in for crimbo.
On Thursday I ended up doing a 16 1/2 hr shift cos the relief guards were late by 4 1/2 HOURS!!!! due to bad conjestion on the motorways cos of a sudden snow shower near Manchester.
The shift itself was awesome as I was in the main building most of the day and had to escort the X-Factor finalists and JLS through to an interview.
The best bit....
I was also asked to be the main guard for a special "Christmas Tech show" they had on the top floor.
Basically I was told to mingle and just have fun looking about and help anyone in need....seen as it was nearly all BBC staff and only 30 visitors to keep track of.
It included all the BBC's latest tech for recording and filming aswell as some other VERY COOL TECH.
They had a 3D printer
(which was sooo cool), PS3 with the new interactive book, Xbox kinnect stuff, touch screen TV's, 4G stuff, Go pro cams and free mulled wine which I couldn't have obviously....just tonnes of stuff tech related.
Anyways thats kinda why I've been in-active for the last week-ish.
And they've asked me to work again on Wednesday (12 hour shift).
So aslong as I keep getting free lifts there, I'll keep working there.
The security there is pretty "full on" but it does have its perks too and there very paticular about what guards they get.
But they seem to like me, so I'm going to keep working there now and then to help cover my bills and hopefully get the odd pic with a celeb too.
Apperently Top Gear is going to be based from there soon too, so I just hope they ask me to work on their studio security too.
I'm just hoping all these extra shifts help pay for me to go on a walk on day at the Yorkshire Paintball Centre in the next few months.
Rant over...missed you lot BTW.
Dunk out.
