Calendar anyone?

Anybody in the group ever think that maybe we should see about getting a calendar of some sorts together that we all can post to, like if we hear about a big game or scenario game coming up in our area and want to post about it with the dates and locations and what not, that it would be a good idea to do so? Maybe even post a calendar with the big events like D-Day Oklahoma and Skirmish's Invasion of Normandy and Red Dawn scenarios?

I would love to see us have something like this, maybe on a Google account or if we wanted to start posting stuff like this on here or Facebook....

Um...why didn't I hear of this calender? When are you making it?

And I think that would be cool actually.

Basically what I'm looking for is if maybe we can get some kinda calendar where we can all maybe send in stuff to post to it, like say if I were to donate my google calendar from my omgthequarterbackistoast gmail account, you guys could say throw in if there's an event of some kind going on in your area, the locations date and times and maybe we can link to it from here because as far as that calendar goes I'm all about sharing. Could color code things like Speedball/Space Gunner events as one color and color events for us woodsballers another and put them on a calendar so everybody can see when stuff is coming up.

EXAMPLE: Storm finds out about a scenario game in his area, he posts it on said calendar, times and dates and maybe it brings one or two of us in from outta state to come group up with him anc cause some carnage as best we can.

That would be really cool. A lot of us live far from each other but I know David and I are relativity close.

Yeah I think it could be useful if people lived relatively close, like me and PSP as he said, unless people wanna travel far away, then it will work perfectly haha.

Do you mean if we can get some sort of calender app for the forum?

Exactly, and we would all be able to add events to it, ya know?

Precisely what I'm advocating, Dunk. I'd like to see if this can be done. I'm gonna link to this post from one in the suggestions forum to see what can be done.

Or see if there some free calendar type hosting sites that we could have a permanent link too.
I'll have a look round the net tomorrow once I've dropped the little terror off at his special weekend activity thingy. :)
Maybe one we could modify with some nice camo and banners etc?

Google has an awesome calendar app, I dunno how much ability to modify the look we'd have because I haven't personally modded mine but I think that'd be the easiest option.

yra,... i had them started,.. but to use rhe calendar i needed to make a new button, so i just finished the set.

They look good in the GOW font dude. :)

if you read the top of that window that brock screen captured......it says "POST NEW TOPIC"
so now know that, you can go to ANY section and POST a thread and INCLUDE the calender information
to our calendar......

how is that for an educated guess by just seeing a couple of words..?
