| Sprint Samsung Epic 4g OS: Android SleeperROM FC09 version (found that it has even BETTER battery life than Random ROM Thunderhawk V) with Beats Audio software.
BTW, the Beats software DOES make a difference in how loud and clear your phone comes through...simply awesome.

BTW, the Beats software DOES make a difference in how loud and clear your phone comes through...simply awesome. i used to install a bunch of gingerbread ROMS for the infuse ...they were stable for while until things got buggy and a very noticeable battery drain...now i'm running the offical 2.3.6 with root. i have an upgrade available so i'll probably get the Galaxy Note with the 4.0 (ICS) | |

| BTW David, if you poke around over at xda-developers I'm sure you could find an ICS rom for that Galaxy S you have, CyanogenMod 9 is already in Beta 3 for my Epic which is essentially the same phone but mine has a keyboard. | |

| Oh see with Samsung there's this nice little proggie you can download on your computer called Odin, and you can get the files to restore your stuff to stock if something goes wrong or you brick it (soft-brick as they call where it gets stuck in a bootloop) If you "hard brick" it where it won't turn on or seems not to, there's this little magic pinhole that Samsung builds into all of their phones/tablets that will reset the phone but will make you have to connect a computer to it to restore it. (i.e. use Odin)

| At the very least David, rooting will be something that'll help you get rid of some of the crapware on your phone that your carrier chooses to put on there for you and won't tell you about (i.e. CarrierIQ, the devil program of all devil programs) and that will consequently eat at your battery life. If you root the phone and are able to follow what's going on, and put a custom ROM on your phone you should see an increase in speed and battery life since your phone doesn't have to route everything through proggies like CarrierIQ.

| Very nice Storm, I'm almost in envy. I'm looking to start a job either at Target Mobile (get my bill reduced by being on an employee plan instead of a regular plan) or at Sprint (an even better reduction in plan) here in the near future so I might see about getting a Galaxy S3 for Sprint. I currently have the Epic 4g rooted with RandomROM 5.1 and I'm enjoying it.
