| Like the title says I have the tape mod for the 14 inch apex2 on my salvo. I'm not sure what the difference really is between a non tape mod and the modded version but the Apex2 still works really well. The two instances I really could see the performance was in a tower type building where I could lay cover fire from a distance. With the added distance I took someone out I could never hit with a stock barrel. The second time i used it was on a X field when pinned down in a box bunker. I flipped the Apex over and ramped it up and almost took out some little kid (he said he felt the pressure coming off the ball from a few inches away). If you read other reviews on the internet you will see people saying that it takes time to learn how to use it but after a few shots it is easy to adjust and take out your opponents. The only warning I would give is to make sure you get the tape right because when I turn my tip in one direction it sometimes unscrews my barrel. Other than that this barrel is awesome and gives anyone extreme adaptability | |

| the difference i have noticed is that depending on ur tape mod, your spin may be stiffer/lighter depending on how much tape u used,.. rotatting the tip,.. i mean. the other is i had severe issues banking in cold weather. mighta been the paint tho. | |

| Luckily I don't have the cold weather problem down here so I probably can't put any input on that. But I have probably a little too much tape on there. Does yours lose a good bit of accuracy when you turn it all the way up for distance? | |

| Also when using the tape mod on the apex2 it basicly takes it back to the original apex design as it has a full 1 inch gap between the muzzle and the ramp in the apex tip this does effect spin and accuracy not alot but never the less it does the apex 2 design has the transaction from the muzzle to the apex ramp smooth no gap providing better spin control and accuracy we did a comparison between the tape mod for a 14" on a salvo and without the tape mod and a cut shroud 1000 rds each grouping was noticeabley tighter at 50yrds without the tape mod and the spin was crazy deffenetly curved faster without the tape mod also no breaks did not notice a distance difference but did have two breaks in the tip with the tape mod out of 1000rds could be due to me leting the RT rip tho |

| Two breaks out of 1000 definitely isn't too bad. Plus I'll sacrifice a little accuracy and spin for more comfort and maneuverability with a shorter barrel. I think it kinda depends on what's more comfortable for the operator. But either way I think most people could agree it brings a whole new level to the game | |

| We have field paint Brock so I don't really have a choice with my paint. Luckily the coldest it gets down here is maybe 40 degrees during the day | |
