Yeah, not even close. Its the difference between getting hit by an airsoft round and a paintball. Lol

My M-9 service revolver lived in the armory or the bottom of my sea bag when I deployed. Besides it's rattle box slide to the craptastic sights that where jacked up and all the Kentuky windage I had to use just to qualify.

Does this extend to British Army Volunteers (otherwise known as the Territorial Army)?

If so:

Gunner Mike Comerford
214 Battery Royal Artillery (UAV) Volunteers
104 Regiment
160 Brigade
Trained Signals Operator and Forward Observer.

Yet to go on operations.

How so fella? Might be able to help you with that.

EDIT: Never mind I think I know what you mean. It was Army. Or, the TA is the Uk equivalent of the US's National Guard, don't know if the NG go on Operations with the US Army though?

@ Gramps. Yeah that makes our organizations virtually identical then. Home defense by name, Army Reserves by nature, in fact the TA and Regulars were re-designated "One Army" when the TA reached 100 years old.

@ Brock That's awesome dude, just noticed it when replying to the 3 word thread lol Will also need you to add the Triarius badge to it in a couple of months time, not that I'm trying to keep you busy at all. I know you already have that with the 'Mini Brock' running around Razz

You're a T.A man eh Mike?
Good man. :)

Ive got a couple of mates who are in the "Weekend warriors" too.
Thats the affectionate nickname for the T.A incase you guys over the pond where wondering. :)
I've considered joining the TA countless times, but with my disabled sons "needs" and work n family life etc etc etc....I simply don't have time for weekends away from my family to go on ops.

I respect anyone who does though. :)

Good man.
Like the new TA banner too. :)

and I repped one of your posts too.

haha @ Dunk I prefer S.W.A.T. That translates to "Some Weekends And Tuesdays" lol! I'm one of the Zero to Hero graduates though... instead of going away for a weekend every other month until basic was complete, I smashed through 14 weeks basic training in one month. Drop out rate was over 50% by the end. Out of the 110 that started only 46 of us passed out.
