| Can you get a 16" J&J Ceramic barrel with a .691 bore then? Wanna try n keep the longer barrel look. I'm wanting a ceramic J&J, aslong as I can get the Apex adapter for one. And a bigger bore would be better suited to me, as I sometimes play in the winter too. And dont want any barrel breaks. Great list BTW | |

| 98 Specific? I don't get it why they are 98 specific? Meaning they are only 98 threaded right? | |

| What's the difference with bore sizes? (I'm getting a new barrel soon.) | |

It all depends on the type of paint you use. It's really helpful to know what your paint is so you can match it to your barrel. An easy way to test this is to take the barrel on it's own and drop one round into the barrel. If it slips right out, then the paint is smaller/barrel's too big. If it stops in the barrel and doesn't move when you gently blow into the barrel (Amazon Warrior Style) then the paint's too big/barrel's too small. But, if it comes right out with a gentle blow, then the paint is matched. Matching paint is not too important unless you are trying for a sniper set-up. If the paint is not big enough for the barrel, then your shots won't be as accurate as they can be. If the paint is too big, then it slow down a considerable amount in the barrel, and more likely to break paint in the barrel. |

I would rather play it safe with a .689 bore. There is nothing more annoying than paint breaking in your barrel because the paint was too big. But, many fields will, for the most part, know what the bore of their paint is. All it takes is asking them up front. Many fields are moving toward using pure .68 caliber, American made paint, because then it truly is .68 cal, any larger and it would technically be .69; and because by the time foreign made paint makes it to the field, it will be old. |

| A barrel kit would also be a good option. Then you can match your bore to their paint quickly without taking a tonne of different barrels with you. | |
